Wide Participation of Dar Aloloum & Technology College in the Youth Sports Mobilization in Khartoum State

The Youth Center in Al-Sahafa, Khartoum Locality, witnessed the active participation of Dar Aloloum & Technology College, represented by Prof. Ibrahim Mohamed Adam, Dean of the College, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Aqib Abdullah, Acting Coordinator of the Law Program, Head of the Youth Sports Mobilization, and Coordinator of the College’s Sports Programs.

They took part in the Grand Youth Sports Mobilization organized by the General Administration of Youth and Sports in Khartoum Locality, under the supervision of Dr. Mortada Mohamed Abu Bakr, Director of the Youth and Sports Administration. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Awad Hamid Ahmed, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in Khartoum State, representing the Wali, Mr. Ahmed Othman Hamza. Distinguished attendees included Mr. Abdel Moneim Bashir, Executive Director of Khartoum Locality; Major General Ezzeldin Amer Osman, Head of the Popular Resistance in Khartoum Locality; Mr. Adel Al-Ansari, Head of the Grassroots & Juniors Authority; Brigadier Hassan Ahmed Abdullah, Director of Community Police; Mr. Faisal Al-Hanan, Head of the Athletes’ Mobilization; Mr. Siddig Ahmed Al-Bashir, Commander of the Training Camps; Mr. Moaz Mohamed Fadl, Executive Director of the Al-Sahafa & Jabra Administrative Unit; and Ms. Nahla Abdel-Mawgoud, Women’s Representative in the State.

In her remarks, Ms. Nahla praised the achievements of the Battle of Dignity, which restored Sudan’s prestige, and called for continued efforts to address health challenges and negative social phenomena, stressing the vital role of women alongside men.

Dr. Mortada Mohamed Abu Bakr highlighted the symbolic importance of reviving the Al-Sahafa Youth Center, once desecrated and destroyed, now restored as a hub for youth mobilization and reconstruction. He also announced the launch of a strategic partnership with Dar Aloloum & Technology College, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed in the presence of the Supreme Council and the Executive Director of the Locality.

In his speech, Prof. Ibrahim Mohamed Adam, Dean of the College, paid tribute to the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity, noting that the College had contributed through academic, sports, and community partnerships, and revealed that several halls and laboratories will be named in their honor. He further explained that the College will serve the state and the Sudanese people in three main areas: in the medical, health, and environmental fields through programs in Medicine & Surgery, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Nursing; in administrative development by focusing on human resource capacity-building for youth and the civil service through the Management Sciences Program, which offers short courses, bachelor’s, postgraduate diploma, and master’s degrees; and in sports development through the Physical Education Program and international partnerships, including agreements with Université d’Alsace (France), the International Sports Science Academy (Saudi Arabia), the Sudan Football Association, Al-Hilal Club for Physical Education, and Al-Nahda Sports Organization, led by Dr. Hassan Abdullah Burqo, under the supervision of international sports expert Eng. Ezzeldin Al-Haj Hassan.

Prof. Ibrahim also announced a generous donation from Prof. Omar Mohamed Al-Toum Al-Shami, Chairman of the College’s Board of Trustees and former Undersecretary of Higher Education, offering scholarships to the children of Battle of Dignity martyrs and to local students, awarded based on academic merit.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Aqib Abdullah, legal advisor and representative of the Law Program at the College, emphasized the College’s role during critical stages of the battle, including its support to the Engineering Corps and Karari Military Area, and the organization of 48 blood donation campaigns.

Other speakers, including Mr. Faisal Al-Hanan, pledged to continue mobilizations until the full liberation of Sudanese territory. Major General Ezzeldin Amer Osman reviewed the honor parade, praised the sacrifices of the Al-Sahafa & Jabra communities, and announced new training camps across the state.

Mr. Abdel Moneim Bashir, Executive Director of Khartoum Locality, praised the organization and discipline of the event, highlighting the leadership of Dr. Mortada Mohamed Abu Bakr. He welcomed the strategic partnership with Dar Aloloum & Technology College as a bridge between academic institutions and executive authorities.

The ceremony concluded with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in Khartoum State and Dar Aloloum & Technology College. Addressing the gathering on behalf of the Wali, Mr. Awad Hamid Ahmed commended the youth mobilization, congratulated the Sudanese people on the victories of the Battle of Dignity, and saluted the sacrifices of the Armed Forces, Police, General Intelligence, and mobilization forces.

A joint committee was also formed, chaired by the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, to oversee the partnership with Dar Aloloum & Technology College. Members include Prof. Ibrahim Mohamed Adam, Dr. Abdullah Al-Aqib Abdullah, Eng. Ezzeldin Al-Haj Hassan, Mr. Faisal Al-Hanan, Mr. Adel Al-Ansari, and Dr. Mortada Mohamed Abu Bakr.
