At a High-Level Seminar in Cairo… Dean of Dar El Oloum College for Science and Technology Highlights Strategies for Time and Meeting Management in an Era of Transformation

The Training and Capacity Building Office of the Higher Council of the Sudanese Community in the Arab Republic of Egypt organized a specialized training seminar on the Time Cycle and Meeting Management. The event was attended by senior members of the Executive Office and the Higher Council of the community, along with a distinguished gathering of experts, specialists, and prominent figures from the Sudanese community in Egypt.
The seminar was further enriched by valuable contributions from Dr. Adel Abdel Aziz Al-Faki, President of the Nile Valley Experts Center, and Dr. Abdullah Mohamed Osman, Director General of the Center, whose remarks underscored the importance of continuous knowledge development and professional capacity building.
The keynote lecture was delivered by Professor Ibrahim Mohamed Adam, Dean of Dar El Oloum College for Science and Technology, under the title “Time and Meeting Management in a Changing World.” During his presentation, he offered a comprehensive perspective on dealing with time as a decisive factor in achieving both institutional and personal success.
The lecture explored, in detail, professional approaches to managing meetings—from preparing the agenda and inviting participants, to documenting discussion points and ensuring the follow-up and implementation of decisions and recommendations to guarantee their effectiveness.
Professor Ibrahim also addressed the art of project management, emphasizing the importance of adhering to established timelines in order to ensure the completion of tasks and projects within their designated schedules without delay.
At the conclusion of the seminar, emphasis was placed on the importance of personal time management, highlighting practical methods for organizing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual plans. The discussion also illustrated the strong link between self-discipline in adhering to schedules and the resulting improvement in institutional performance.
The seminar concluded with active engagement and extensive discussions among participants on ways to apply these concepts within the practical context of the Sudanese community in Egypt.
