Dar El Oloum and the College of Engineering and Medical Sciences: Strengthening Ties through Neighborly Cooperation

Upon resuming his duties from his office at the main campus of Dar El Oloum College for Science and Technology in Al-Lamab, Professor Ibrahim Mohammed Adam, Dean of the College, initiated a series of visits and meetings with various national and state-level institutions in Khartoum. The objective was to harness collective efforts to stabilize both governmental and private institutions, which are fundamental to the return and stability of families.

Within this framework, Professor Ibrahim visited the College of Engineering and Medical Sciences at its main campus in Khartoum, where he met with Professor Mohammed Ali Bashir, Dean of the College. During the visit, he observed the significant reconstruction efforts undertaken there, and both parties agreed to activate the partnership agreement previously signed between the two institutions.

The agreement encompasses the joint use of lecture halls, laboratories, and training facilities, in addition to student and faculty exchanges. It also extends to extracurricular activities, including collaboration with neighboring institutions such as Al-Nahda and Al-Ufoq. Notably, the College of Engineering and Medical Sciences has a distinguished record in this field.

Culturally, the two institutions also share a unique bond, as both deans are poets with strong literary and cultural interests. Furthermore, the parties agreed to coordinate student admissions, whereby each college will serve as an admissions office for the other in the programs offered across both institutions.

The agreement also includes the organization of joint lectures to maximize the academic expertise and teaching resources available at both colleges.
